Ashbys Stain Guard WATER Based is a professional protector for wet‑cleanable fibres, designed to be applied when carpets, rugs and upholstery are damp from cleaning. It is also suitable for new or dry carpets and rugs. For extra‑thick pile, lightly mist the surface with clean water to aid absorption.
The advanced blend of fluorocarbon and alcohol penetrates fibres to deliver long‑lasting stain resistance and a built‑in antistatic finish.

How to Apply (Simple Steps)

Check condition: If dirty, carry out a full wet clean and rinse out all detergent residues. If new or already clean, you may apply Stain Guard directly.

Dampness matters: Fibres should be damp at the surface. Freshly cleaned items are already damp. For new or dry extra‑thick pile, lightly mist with clean water.

Upholstery rule: Do not protect dry upholstery. Always apply Stain Guard when the fabric is damp from cleaning, or lightly mist the surface with fresh water beforehand. This helps the protector absorb evenly and reduces the chance of water marks.

Sprayer setup: Use the Kwazar Orion 3 Ltr Pump‑up Sprayer at around 30 psi / 2 Bar.

Nozzles: T‑Jet 80 02 for carpets and rugs; T‑Jet 80 01 for upholstery, curtains and wall fabrics.

Spray technique: Hold the nozzle 25–30 cm above the surface and apply in smooth, overlapping passes.

Coverage guide: Carpets & rugs: 1 L per 12–17 m² Upholstery: 1 L per 18–25 m²

Drying: Allow 1–2 hours with good ventilation. Avoid use until fully dry.
