Ashbys Lightweight Single Jet Wand
The Ashbys Lightweight Single Jet Wand is a solid stainless steel wand designed for professional carpet and upholstery cleaners who want a lighter, easy-handling tool that still delivers strong cleaning performance. The wand body is made from 1¼ inch stainless steel (32 mm), keeping weight low while maintaining durability for daily professional use.
At the vacuum end, the tube enlarges to 1½ inch (38 mm) so it connects perfectly to a standard 1½ inch vacuum hose cuff such as our Standard Hose Cuff. This gives you compatibility with the most common hose setups used across the industry.
The wand features a stainless steel jet that produces a precise, accurate spray pattern for effective soil removal. A forged brass trigger valve rated up to 300 psi ensures dependable performance, supported by a stainless steel stem and trigger for long service life. You can choose either a male or female non‑drip brass connector to match your preferred hose configuration.
The cleaning head measures 9.6 inch, making it smaller than a standard 12 inch twin‑jet wand. This size gives you fast, easy access to awkward or tight areas while still being large enough to work efficiently across main sections of carpet. Combined with the lightweight tube design, the wand weighs only 2.25 kg, offering excellent manoeuvrability and reduced fatigue throughout long jobs.
The wand shown in the product photos includes the optional grab handle. This handle is pre‑selected in the product options for convenience, but it can be deselected at checkout if not required. Adding the grab handle makes the wand even more comfortable to work with. It gives you a natural place to apply pressure and guide the wand, so manoeuvring feels smoother and takes noticeably less effort. Most cleaners who try it tend to keep it fitted because it simply makes the wand nicer to use throughout the day.
This wand is an ideal lightweight alternative to our heavier Ashbys Premium 2 Jet Wand or even our 10 inch Single Jet Wand. It is also perfectly suited to the Spot Master and other spot, stain removal or rental carpet cleaning machines.
