The Ashbys Original Style Latch is the front locking clip used on the
Ashbys Ninja carpet cleaning machine range.
It locks the upper and lower casings together during operation, preventing accidental opening and ensuring safe, stable performance.
Releasing the latch provides quick access to the Ninja’s internal electronics for servicing and maintenance.
What This Part Does
Mounted on the Ninja’s recovery (dirty water) tank, this latch engages with the keeper on the base casing.
It keeps the machine securely closed while running, maintaining correct airflow, safety and structural stability.
Original Style Latch – Important Compatibility Note
This is the original style Ashbys latch. It does not include the newer design extension that allows a securing bolt to prevent opening without a tool.
Despite this difference, the original style latch is fully compatible with all Ninja machines.
To ensure complete compatibility and the best possible fit, we recommend purchasing this latch together with the matching keeper.
Although it should fit your existing keeper, older keepers can vary slightly due to age and wear.
