Directions
- For professional and industrial use only.
- Always pre-test carpets, fabrics and other surfaces to be treated with a small amount of Coffee Stain Remover in an inconspicuous area before proceeding. Check for dye stability, colour change and texture change.
- Be aware that some fabrics and dyes may be sensitive to water or acidic solutions.
- Coffee Stain Remover is ready-to-use. Do not mix with other cleaning agents.
- Apply to the affected area by sprayer, then blot with a clean white towel, working from the outside to the centre of large stains.
- For difficult stains, re-apply and leave for 5 to 15 minutes, then rinse with clean water.
- For severe stains, use Prochem Browning Prescription B175 with an equal part of water and leave for a longer period before rinsing.
- Some old tea and coffee stains, particularly on natural fibres such as wool and cotton, may be permanent.
Recommended Applicator
For bulk use from the 5 litre container, decant into a suitable professional sprayer for controlled application. Many cleaners favour a compact, high quality sprayer such as the Kwazar Mercury Professional 360 Double Action Pump Viton Sprayer 500 ml, which delivers a fine, even spray and works at any angle for precise spot treatment.
Safety & PPE
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
- Wear protective gloves such as Disposable Nitrile Gloves – Powder Free.
- When spraying in confined or poorly ventilated areas, a respirator such as the Ashbys Protective Respirator Half‑Mask is recommended.
-
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing and get medical advice or attention.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Skipping pre-testing on sensitive fibres and dyed fabrics.
- Mixing Coffee Stain Remover with other cleaning agents instead of using it neat.
- Over-wetting carpets or fabrics instead of controlled application and blotting.
- Working from the centre of large stains instead of from the outside in.
- Promising full removal of old, set tannin stains on natural fibres that may be permanent.
Before & After Tips
-
Before: Identify the type of staining (coffee, tea, tannin, beer, water marks), confirm fibre type and carry out a thorough pre-test in an inconspicuous area.
-
During: Apply Coffee Stain Remover evenly by sprayer, blot with clean white towels and allow appropriate dwell time for difficult stains before rinsing.
-
After: Rinse with clean water where required, blot dry and groom fibres. Explain to clients that some older tannin stains, especially on wool and cotton, may not fully disappear.
- Capture before and after images to demonstrate improvement and support your professional reports.
